As the graphics driver is responsible for this, so you need to reinstall the graphics driver so that it will install the libraries.

These libraries are not a standalone application, it installs with graphics drivers like AMD or NVIDIA. You can also find Vulkan runtime libraries for Linux also.

If you don’t know how to uninstall and reinstall the graphics driver or how to update it in your Pc, this method will help you.

Search for device manager in and click on device manager result. Then find the Graphics hardware device and expand it. (you will find display adapter as graphics hardware and when you expand it you will see Parallel display adapter [WDDM]).  Then right-click on the Parallel display adapter and select uninstall the device.

Before going to uninstall check for > delete the driver software for this device and put a checkbox, then click on Uninstall.

Now restart your computer and it will automatically reinstall the missing driver. In the case for some reason it does not work, go to the device manager. Right-click on video driver or graphics driver (parallel display adapter) under the graphics hardware device, then select update driver. Then you will be asked how you wish to search for a driver : (Automatically updated for the driver software or Browse My computer for driver software) choose your preference and follow the instructions.

After you finished the update and installation process, restart your computer and you will find Vulkan Runtime Libraries there on your Pc.

Well, I appreciate your curiosity. This is why I am going to discuss each and every query from what is keylogger to how to prevent keylogging etc.

What is keylogger

First thing first.

A keylogger is a software or a hardware device that logs every key you press on your keyboard. It can capture anything you type on a keyboard like personal chat messages, passwords, credit card numbers, and everything else you type.

Keylogger is sometimes known as keystroke logging also. This basically contains the action of recording (logging) of keys struck on a keyboard.

This is the most basic keylogger example. Some advanced level keylogger software can have more functions like taking sending reports to e-mail, screenshots, storing a history of browsing and opening apps.

After hearing this you may have the doubt that this is malicious. Yes, your assumption is partially correct.

As I discussed the keylogger has both dark side and bright side, so there is a number of possibilities.

• Keyloggers can be installed wh you click on a link or opens an attachment/file from a suspicious phishing mail.
• a keylogger can be installed via a web page script which exploits a browser vulnerability.
• It can be installed when a user opens a file attached to an email
• Keyloggers can be installed through the webpage script when you visit the malicious website.
• It can be installed by a protective parent to see everything their child types.
• A jealous spouse concerned about their husband or wife cheating might install a keylogger on their computer to keep tabs on them. It’s not a good thing, but it happens.
• Some employers may install keystroke loggers on their employees’ computers to monitor everything they do.

How does keylogger work

After knowing the possible region keylogger installed on your computer, let’s know how does keylogger works?

As I discussed earlier, there are two types of keylogger. One is software keylogger and another is hardware keylogger.

Software Keyloggers

Normally, Keylogging software runs hidden in the background. The software is specially programmed to make a note of each keystroke you type on the keyboard.

The software has the capability to scan through the file for a specific type of text pattern. To make it simple, let’s take your credit card number. The credit card number is always in a sequence. The software always looking for that type of sequence and upload them to a malicious server so they can be abused.

Sometimes it also acts so intelligently. The software may also be combined with other types of computer monitoring software. In this way, it Is easier for the attacker to narrow the information they want.

A keylogger could detect the first keystrokes you typed into an online game or chat program, stealing your password.

Some keylogger software can take a screenshot. So one can combine the type of history with screenshots of what was on your computer screen at the time.

Hardware Keyloggers

Some keyloggers can be implemented entirely as hardware devices. A typical desktop keyboard connected to the back of the computer using a USB cable.

If someone unplugs the keyboard’s USB cable from the CPU and attach a specialized USB device between the computer’s USB port and the keyboard’s USB connector, then the device could function as keylogger hardware.

Sitting in the middle, it could intercept keyboard signals from the keyboard, store them on the connected device, and then pass the keystrokes information to the computer.

So in this way, everything would appear to be working normally. This is more convenient that software keylogger because any security software on the computer wouldn’t be able to detect this keylogger. Because it runs entirely in hardware. If the computer were hidden under a desk or any type of covering, then no one would notice the device and the device collects the data secretly.

The person could then come back a few days later to grab the device and sneak off with it, leaving no trace of keylogging software or suspicious network activity.

After reading this you may have aware about it. So, just check the back of your computer and ensure there’s no suspicious device between your keyboard cable and the computer itself.

How to detect a keylogger?

To say franky you can’t detect a keylogger at first sight. If it is a hardware keylogger, then you might do so.

But in most cases, the keylogger is in a software form and this makes it invisible and hard to detect.

As you can’t feel any difference after any keylogger installed in your computer, you might not aware of its presence.

Don’t lose your hope. There are some methods you can use to detect.

The first method you can use is, Task Manager. As you know it shows the list of running applications. Open your Task Manager and check the running applications.

Keyloggers don’t have an ugly name so that you can find them on first sight. So you may not find them instantly on your Task Manager window. Search for the names that you think maybe a keylogger. You may found that on Google and someone has written on it.

If you found any, then instantly uninstall it. It will most likely be listed under Background processes. Another suitable place to look for keyloggers is under the Startup tab. Some software initiated at the time of switch-on of the computer. If you found anything suspicious there then disable it.

Another place to look for suspicious activity of this type of software is in the internet usage report on your computer. On Windows, press the Windows button + “I”. You will be in the settings screen. Select Network & Internet and then select the Data usage option. Click on View usage details.

Now you will see a list of all the programs that are using the Internet on your computer. Search the names you don’t recognize in that list to see if they are keyloggers present.

Another place to look for is the browser extension. If any suspicious extension installed there then install that.

These are some of the methods you can use to detect keylogger.

How to prevent keylogging?

Nowadays data is the new currency. After reading about keylogger and all the above things, now you may think about how to prevent it.  Keylogging software is essentially just another type of malware as you know before. You can avoid keylogging software in the same way you avoid others.

Use a good antivirus program that will hopefully prevent keyloggers from running. There is no bullet-proof way of avoiding keyloggers. Just be careful and exercise basic computer security practices.

Always use two-factor authentication through one time passwords. It may help users protect their sensitive credentials like a credit card or like that. Some services are by default gives this facility.

Some suggestions for the virtual keyboard to avoid personal data interception. But this is not a fulltime solution for this. Some advance keylogging software can track any type of input, whether it comes from the regular keyboard or virtual keyboard.

Take caution when opening attachment files. Keyloggers can be present in files received through email, chats, P2P networks, text messages or even social networks.

It’s ok. I also don’t know for a long time even using Facebook. So don’t worry about that.

There are different methods for downloading videos from Facebook depending on who posted the video.

For instance, if it’s a video you’ve posted and want to download or if it was put up by someone else.

Another thing is that, the download method and the step-by-step procedure will vary depending on the browser you use. Sometime you may use Facebook application itself. So the methods are different for different scenario.

Don’t get confused. I will show you both methods. Beyond that, there is some special method for specific browsers. That part we will cover after covering the first part i.e. who have posted.

Download a video you’ve posted

Let’s see how to download Facebook videos to the computer that you have posted.

1. Log in to your Facebook account and click the link to your profile at the top of the screen.
2. On your profile page, in the top section, click More.
3. From the drop-down menu, Click on Videos. 

   

4. Move your mouse cursor over the video you’d like to download, click the little pen-like button, and select Download HD or Download SD.

Note: The Download HD option will only be available to select if the video was created or recorded in HD quality. If it wasn’t recorded or created in HD quality, then only the Download SD option will be available.

1. After clicking either of the options, your video should appear in a new tab. Move your mouse over the video and click on the little download icon in the lower right-hand corner.

If the above method doesn’t work, then you can use some other methods as well.

As you have shared a video then there is a chance that you know the source of the video file. I mean you may have shared it from YouTube or directly from your video gallery.

If that’s the case then you may go to the source (if YouTube or something else) and download from there directly.

I assume that you have shared the video from YouTube (as most of the video shared from YouTube itself). So Find the video you have shared if can. The easiest way might be the browsing history of your browser or your YouTube app browsing history.

Simply copy the video URL and pest it in a new tab.

Use a YouTube shortcut to download videos.

Type ss just before the youtube.

Ex:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=demo (Copied URL)

https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=demo (Use ss before the youtube)

(The above two URLs are the demo so don’t copy and pest the same. Use this method for the real video URL.)

You will be redirected to a website where your video is ready to download. You can also choose the quality of the video as well.

Download a video posted on your timeline or by other users

Now see how to download a Facebook video that someone else posted to the computer. This method is a little bit different from the above method. Let’s see what it is.

1. Log into Facebook account and browse the video you’d like to download.
2. Right-click on the video and select Show video URL from the drop-down menu that appears.

   

3. Click the URL and then press Ctrl+C or right-click and select Copy from the drop-down menu.
4. Open a new tab by pressing Ctrl+T.
5. Paste the URL into the address bar by pressing Ctrl+V, and then press Enter.
6. Replace “www” or “web” with “mbasic” in the URL and then Press Enter.

   

7. On the next page, click the video to open it in its own window.
8. Right-click the video and select Save video as… from the drop-down menu that appears.
9. Choose a save location and a file name for the video, and then click the Save button.

This is the easiest method to download a Facebook video that some share.

As I have mentioned earlier, beyond these methods there are some special methods for specific browsers. These methods will work always.

Microsoft Edge browser

In Microsoft Edge browser how to download video from Facebook to the computer. Just follow this simple method.

1. Log in to your Facebook account
2. Choose a video and click the Play icon on the video to start the video.
3. Right-click on the video and select the “Copy video URL at current time” option.
4. Paste the URL in a website named FBVideo
5. Choose your quality and a location on your computer where you want to save the video and click Save.

Google Chrome browser

In Google Chrome browser the method download video from Facebook is the same.

1. Log in to your Facebook account
2. Click the Play icon on the video to start the video.
3. Right-click on the video and select the “Copy video URL at current time” option.
4. Paste the URL in a website named FBVideo
5. Choose your quality and a location on your computer where you want to save the video and click Save.

You can use another method for this as well.

Install Video Downloader professional Chrome extension and you are good to go.

This is also the easiest method for the Chrome browser to download a Facebook video.

Mozilla Firefox browser

You may use Mozilla Firefox browser. So here is the method.

1. Log in to your Facebook account

3. Right-click on the video and select the “Copy video URL at current time” option.
4. Paste the URL in a website named FBVideo
5. Choose your quality and a location on your computer where you want to save the video and click Save.

Internet Explorer

Someone says Internet Explorer is outdated. But it is still in the race. So how I left it in this list.

1. Log in to your Facebook account first
2. Click the little Play icon on the video to start the video you want to download.
3. Right-click on the video and select the “Copy video URL at current time” option.
4. Just paste the URL in a website named FBVideo
5. Choose your quality and a location on your computer where you want to save the video and click Save.

You may think that all the process is almost the same so why I explain in different part? Although the process of downloading Facebook videos to the computer is almost the same in every browser, I have defined separately for clear understanding.
