As I mentioned earlier, you can use WhatsApp in three ways. I assuming that you have already installed the mobile app. If not, install it first.

To use the desktop version of WhatsApp you have to download it first. Just Download WhatsApp desktop app.

You will find the interface like this.

Select the corresponding download link with your computer’s operating system. Choose either the Windows or Mac link.

After successful installation opens the desktop program. Now you will see a big QR code.

• Open WhatsApp app on your phone.
• Go to setting > WhatsApp web
• Scroll down and choose Scan QR Code
• Hold your phone up to the computer screen to scan the QR code.
• Then WhatsApp will open immediately and shows your messages on your phone. You can now close down the WhatsApp app on your phone and use it from your computer.

Now you can manage your message with friends and family while your phone stays in your pocket.

The desktop app of WhatsApp is just like the app on your Smartphone. It has very similar features, interface, and look. Change profile photo and status

You can change your profile photo and status in three ways.

The first way – Click on your profile photo -> Click on your picture to change or remove it and click on the Pencil icon to update your status

The second way – Click on “WhatsApp” tap -> select “Profile and Status”

The third way – Click on three-dot -> You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+P to open profile and status.

Start a new chat or Make a new group

The WhatsApp desktop app is very similar to a mobile app. Click on the “WhatsApp” tab and select the New Chat/ New Group or Click on the Menu and select New Group. You can also click on the ‘+’ sign to start a new chat.

Send files

The desktop app is very similar but there is some difference. You can send an image, a video or a document, whereas in your Smartphone you can send an image, audio, video, document, location, and contact.

Log out in WhatsApp desktop App

You can log out either from the WhatsApp main tab or via Menu. Next time when you want to log in again, you have to scan your WhatsApp QR code again using your Smartphone.

But some people not like this type of android emulators because it is heavyweight and takes a lot of hard disk space. It also takes much time to start the application. It slows down your PC.

But there is a dedicated web version of WhatsApp already. Why use third-party services.
