The first thing that crashes into our minds when we replace our old Android phone with a new iPhone is how to transfer data from Android to iPhone. We all wary about our data such as photos, videos, contacts, documents, emails, etc.
And we can’t leave them behind on the older model and quietly walk away with the new one. Here, we will share some useful tips that will make the transition a lot smoother and easier.
Setting up The Process
As Android users are reportedly switching to iOS over time and look to transfer all their data to the new iPhone or iPad, so Apple has developed a dedicated app called “Move To iOS” to mitigate the whole process. In fact, it is Apple’s first app on the Android platform and is completely free to use.
The app connects your Android device with the new iPhone or iPad over direct Wi-Fi and that’s all you need. Then you can move all your contacts, text messages, photos, videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, and calendars from Android to iOS.
However, it doesn’t allow to transfer of apps from Android to iOS as they won’t be compatible. Also, it won’t support the transfer of music tracks and passwords stored on your Android device. Keeping things aside, this app requires Android version 4.0 or above and iOS version 9 or higher to run smoothly.
So, if your android handset has the requisite OS version, then download and install the app without wasting a single second.
