There already hype surrounding sci-fi devices like foldable phones. After Samsung’s foldable phone, Huawei shows its first folding phone.
CEO of Huawei’s consumer business, Richard Yu unveiled the company’s foldable Mate X smartphone on Sunday. This will be the main highlight at MWC 2019. Huawei wants its turn in the foldable phone spotlight, and it may fulfill with the Mate X.
Huawei Mate X will have two back-to-back OLED screens which unfold to become an 8-inch and 5.4mm thick tablet display. When it’s folded, you have one 6.6-inch, notch-free, and small bezel main display combined with an elongated 6.4-inch rear display.
The device gives users a thicker grip section and it houses the cameras. It contains 4 cameras on the thick panel. You can take a selfie camera on the same camera.
Huawei Mate X powered by the company’s Kirin 980 processor and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. It has 8 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage. It houses massive 4,500 mAH dual battery. It has superfast charging (55W Huawei SuperCharge) capability that can reach 85 percent battery in just 30 minutes.
The main highlight of the phone is Balong 5000 5G modem chip that gives users a true 5G experience. The company claims that it can download a 1 GB file in roughly 3 seconds. Which networks internet plan fit to it? Do your pre calculation before.
Now, this device has only one color, Interstellar Blue. Huawei said it might introduce some new colors for the device at a later stage.
